Secrets of the North

Service Description

Heading north of Essaouira, we visit a natural water source that creates a hidden oasis within the rugged landscape, where palm trees and greenery thrive against the arid backdrop. From here, a short hike leads up to a cave overlooking the oasis and valley below. This cave holds remarkable significance, as archaeologists recently uncovered inside it the world’s oldest known jewellery, dating back 150,000 years, and it remains almost untouched by visitors. After pausing to take in its history and views, we descend and continue to a lively Sunday souk, where farmers and vendors from the surrounding region gather to sell fresh produce and local goods in a vibrant, bustling atmosphere.
